    1. Facilitate and coordinate all International Donor Support and other forms of assistance received by the State.
    2. Identify all possible avenue/sources of International Development Assistance for the State.
    3. Establish a database on Donor Assistance to keep tract of all in-flow into the State.
    4. Establish a framework for coordinating of donor programmes in the State.
    5. Identify State's key priorities as enunciated in sectoral policies, SEEDS, MDGs etc and mobilized donor support towards achieving these priorities.
    6. Facilitate the take off of ne programmes of assistance by taking the lead in the formulation of MOUs, implementation guidlines and work plans.
    7. Sensitize State/Local Governments and communities on International payment of counterpart funds/cost sharing for donor-assisted programme/projects.
    8. Recieve and vet request for Government counterpart funds from implementing MDAs and arrange for prompt settlement of these obligations in line with the Memoranda of understanding (MOUs), Programme Implemention Agreements (PIAs) etc.
    9. Put in place a detailed Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for donor programmes and carry out routine monitoring of implementation.
    10. Ensure the building of strong strategic partnership with Civil Society Organization (CSDs), Private Sector Organizations (PSOs) etc as development partners.
    11. Any other related business that His Excellency the Governor May from time to time deem necessary to assign to the Department.


    By this development, all functions related to Donor Assistance Coordination, which were hitherto performed by the State Planning Commission, have been ceded to the Department of International Donor Support.
